Prof. Nedal Ismail

Professor Nedal Ismail is an academic and corporate leader with extensive experience in operations, strategy, and leadership across diplomatic, public, and private-sector environments. He serves as Professor and Academic Director of the Supply Chain Management and Management Studies Bachelor of Commerce programs at the Longo Faculty of Business.

His academic and research work focuses on international trade, supply chain and operations management, entrepreneurship, family businesses, and global foreign direct investment. Alongside his academic career, Professor Nedal brings senior corporate experience spanning profit-and-loss responsibility, strategic planning, international expansion, communications, investor relations, compliance, and board-level reporting.

He has led the planning of capital projects with a combined pre-feasibility value exceeding US$1 billion, including industrial and business estates, logistics facilities, manufacturing projects, real estate developments, and major transportation and border-service infrastructure initiatives. His work has included the development of joint venture, Build-Operate-Transfer, and Build-Own-Operate opportunities.

Professor Nedal has served as a subject matter expert for government entities in Brazil, Canada, Jordan, Nigeria, the UAE, and the United States across areas including foreign affairs, international trade, transportation, economic development, international cooperation, borders, free zones, and chambers of commerce. He has also served as an international elections observer and held board positions with five public companies, including two publicly listed organizations, as well as NGOs, think tanks, chambers of commerce, and industry associations.

As an international keynote speaker and executive educator, Professor Nedal has addressed the impact of blockchain, artificial intelligence, drones, and emerging technologies on global supply chains. His speaking experience includes the Cold Chain Global Forum Canada, the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council Annual Conference, and executive programs at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management covering public governance, international cooperation, port operations, logistics, supply chain strategy, and regional economic development.
